William Lochhead

Will is a Deputy Director in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy’s Hydrogen and Industrial Carbon Capture Directorate. Will leads the teams responsible for designing the commercial frameworks and revenue mechanisms for hydrogen and industrial carbon capture projects, to enable deployment in the 2020s.

Previously Will headed up the CCUS Policy Team for nearly 5 years, leading on the development of CCUS policy within the UK as well as internationally. Before that, he led on the legislation and regulatory framework to introduce the UK’s Capacity Market through the Government’s Electricity Market Reform Programme.
