Joseph Bailey

Joseph Bailey is employed by Progressive Energy and is Head of Projects for Grenian Hydrogen, a joint venture company between Progressive Energy, Statkraft and Foresight. Since 2022, Joe has managed a portfolio of electrolytic hydrogen projects that have been involved the UK’s HAR1 and HAR2 allocation rounds. As Head of Projects at Grenian, Joe is responsible for all elements of project delivery including commercial, financing, engineering, planning and permitting. Joe’s background is in various technology development and deployment roles, having started his career in the Shell Projects and Technology organisation before becoming Head of Product Engineering at Recycling Technologies where he was responsible for the development of the companies first commercial scale mixed consumer plastic waste recycling machine, the RT7000. Joe currently sits on the Hydrogen Delivery Council Supply Chain & Skills working group and was shortlisted by Hydrogen UK as a future Hydrogen leader in 2023.
