Duncan Dale

Duncan Dale is Vice President of Origination for the UK and Ireland at Statkraft. Since 2009, he has formed and led the origination business in the region, building it into the leading provider of energy transition market services with a 7 GW portfolio. In this role, he is responsible for the commercial strategy and delivery of long-term renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), flexibility aggregation services, and innovative market solutions for renewable energy.

Under his leadership, Statkraft has become the No.1 provider of long-term renewables PPAs and the top aggregator of flexible generation in the UK and Ireland. The team also supplies shaped renewable power to suppliers, structures Corporate PPAs for large energy users, and is increasingly active in the green hydrogen market.

Earlier in his career, Duncan was involved in several energy start-ups and brokered deals across Europe. He previously held senior roles in project development, trading, and risk management at Powergen and TXU. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA.
